Valentines is nearly here and, if like me, you’ve been with your partner for a while, it’s always a challenge coming up with new and unique valentines gifts. We’ve also got children now and so I want to share the love this Valentines with all the family.
First stop, some inspiration hunting and Pinterest didn’t disappoint! Some amazing ideas to surprise your loved ones throughout the day and make everyone feel special. As the saying goes ‘the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach’, the same most definitely applies to my children so here are some of my favourite recipes, starting with a hearty breakfast:
Valentines Breakfast Egg in toast
Love this from Reclaiming Provincial – kids aren’t egg fans but reckon this could convert them!!
Yum, I want a second breakfast. These heart-shaped chocolate chip banana pancakes from skinnytaste.com look so delicious and they’re super healthy too – what’s not to love?
Valentines Lunch Box Goodies
This Valentines lunch box from Lisa Storms is gorgeous but it’s definitely just for the little ones – I can’t see my husband wanting to take this one to work!
Valentines Teatime Treats
The choices are endless and I kept chopping and changing my mind but opted for these lollipops from Parents.com. They are so fresh and tasty and just because it’s Valentines we shouldn’t forget their 5 a day!
Another reason to reach for the heart-shaped cookie cutter……
This white chocolate raspberry cheesecake just has to be done. Cookingclassy.com provide step by step instructions and, whilst I don’t ever consider myself as ‘classy’ in the kitchen there’s first time for everything….my personalised apron helps..
……and, whilst I’m making myself beautiful (and washing the cheesecake mix out of my hair and off my face) my hubby can be working out his personalised hidden Valentines message puzzle (just got to hope he doesn’t read this blog!!)
